The Calcasieu Parish Office of Emergency Preparedness said emergency restrictions on recreational boating on the Calcasieu River will be lifted today, April 14.
The parish instituted a state of emergency April 8 due to rising water levels from recent heavy rains.
Parish boat launches that have been closed due to the state of emergency will also reopen today. Water levels on the river have dropped to near normal.
