Later this morning, the April jobs report will be released and AEI economic scholars are available to comment. In anticipation, Deputy Director of Economic Policy Studies and Resident Scholar Michael Strain offers his thoughts:
I expect today’s jobs report to look significantly better than last month’s. But the underlying reality of the job market remains the same: Our recovery has been steady but too slow, and millions of Americans are having a very tough time because of it. Hopefully the recovery will upshift soon.
