With discussions to lease a former Ford auto factory, BuzzFeed is laying the groundwork for a major expansion in Los Angeles

You might have heard: With a $200 million investment from NBCUniversal, BuzzFeed will continue to extend its reach into TV and film

But did you know: BuzzFeed is in discussions to lease a 250,000-square-foot former Ford auto factory in downtown Los Angeles, The Wall Street Journal reports. Eliot Brown and Lukas I. Alpert write that the discussions to lease the space, which is roughly the size of BuzzFeed’s Manhattan headquarters, indicate major expansions to come in Los Angeles by BuzzFeed. A large chunk of BuzzFeed’s Los Angeles operation is BuzzFeed Motion Pictures, which it is expected to further expand with strategic partnerships with NBCUniversal.
