FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Washington, DC, October 5, 2015 — American Enterprise Institute (AEI) President Arthur Brooks announced today that the Daniels Fund of Denver, Colorado has made a $4 million investment to AEI in support of AEI Academic Programs — the institute’s initiative to reach students and faculty on college campuses with AEI’s free enterprise message.
AEI will name the Bill Daniels Academic Programs Suite in honor of the Daniels Fund namesake. Bill Daniels was a pioneer in the cable television industry and founder of the Daniels Fund, a private foundation that provides grants to nonprofit organizations and scholarships for deserving students in four states — Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. The office suite will be located in AEI’s new headquarters at 1789 Massachusetts Avenue NW in Washington, DC.
“My colleagues and I are truly humbled by the Daniels Fund’s generosity,” said Brooks. “Bill Daniels was a true believer in the free enterprise system and in building opportunity and human dignity, and we are committed to honoring his legacy through this extraordinary contribution to such an important part of our work.”

AEI Academic Programs was founded in 2011 as a way to connect college students and faculty with AEI scholarship to advance the principles of freedom, free enterprise, and earned success. The network currently includes more than 4,000 students and faculty and is active on 430 college campuses and counting.
