2016 Data Point: Anger with the political parties

One of the most powerful currents in opinion about the 2016 election is dissatisfaction with political leadership. Although Republicans have received a fair amount of criticism lately, dissatisfaction with both political parties runs deep. A new CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll shows that slightly more than half, 52 percent say they are angry with the way the Democratic and Republican parties have been dealing with the country’s problems. Only 26 percent were angry at neither. Of the remainder, more were angry with the Republican Party than the Democratic Party (14 to 7 percent).
