BuzzFeed launched its 11th international edition Tuesday, but BuzzFeed Japan is different than the other international editions because it’s a partnership with Yahoo Japan. Joseph Lichterman writes that a key difference with the launch in Japan will be how BuzzFeed uses social sharing to grow: While social network use tends to peak during the workday in cities such as New York City and London, Facebook and Twitter users in Tokyo tend to use those platforms much more outside of working hours.
