PONCHATOULA -- A southeast Louisiana food service company has been bought by one from California.
Neither Good Source Solutions of Carlsbad, California, nor Pon Food Corp. of Ponchatoula (pahn-chuh-TOO-luh), Louisiana, disclosed the price.
Tony Berner Jr. will remain president of Pon Food, which will remain in Ponchatoula.
Berner tells The Hammond Star that he expects more jobs and opportunities in Louisiana, and customers will be able to buy many more products.
A statement from Good Source Solutions says it is getting more ties with education, corrections and food service companies and a stronger distribution network in the Southeast.
Pon Foods serves all southeast Louisiana schools and some in southwest Louisiana.
