The Seattle Cascades drum and bugle corps on Monday visited Iowa High School, alma mater of Cody Keller, one of the group’s newest members.
Keller, a recent graduate of Iowa High, has been a member of band programs since middle school.
“It feels incredible to know that a kid from a small school like Iowa can march with a world-class corps,” said Iowa band director William Ishee.
The Cascades arrived at Iowa High early in the morning and spent the day preparing for a run-through of their 50th anniversary show, “O,” for that night.
After performing, the Seattle Cascades left for Biloxi, Miss., to participate in the Mississippi Sound Spectacular.
