Two people were shot Friday after an argument near the McNeese State University campus, authorities said.
Lake Charles police Cpl. Larry Moss said the shooting happened at the intersection of Common Street and College Manor. Moss said two people, a 21-year-old and 24-year-old, were shot after an argument escalated into a fight.
He said the victims were taken to area hospitals by private means before officers’ arrival and that they had non-life-threatening injuries. No further information was released. Moss said Detective Dustin Gaudet is handling the investigation. Witnesses are asked to call 491-1456, ext. 5313.
