JENNINGS — Twenty-one amateur and professional accordion players competed Saturday in the 12th annual Squeezebox Shootout Cajun Accordion Championship at the Strand Theatre.
Seth Spell won the adult division. Bryce Esthay placed second and Kegan Navarre was third.
In the professional division, Chad Huval was the winner.
Bubba Hebert won the junior division, with Donovan Bourque second and Dylan Aucoin third.
Kyle Mott Jr. won the youth division, with Gerald Broussard Jr. second and Jace Goulas third.
Mott, Hebert, Spell and Huval were also selected People’s Choice winners in their divisions, with Mott taking home the overall People’s Choice award.
The contestants showcased their skills for the judges and competed for more than $3,000 in cash prizes and trophies.
