The Gladiator is fighting body-shamers with a dagger ― of humor.

Actor Russell Crowe has taken a ribbing for photos that emerged of him appearing heavier last weekend in Sydney. The images showed him kicking around a rugby ball in a tank top and shorts.

But the 52-year-old Oscar winner on Tuesday deftly deflected the criticism in one good-natured comeback on Twitter.
