Sloths are to Kristen Bell what “Star Wars” is to Adam Scott.
OK, we’ll explain. The “Frozen” actress famously freaked out when her husband Dax Shepard surprised her with an actual sloth, Bell’s favorite thing on the planet. Turns out, you can get a similar but admittedly more muted reaction from Scott when his childhood hero, “Star Wars” star Mark Hamill, crashes his late-night interview.
On Thursday night, Bell took over hosting duties for Jimmy Kimmel, who was at home taking care of his newborn baby, and welcomed the “Parks and Recreation” star to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in celebration of “May the 4th,” the official “Star Wars” holiday.
As a major fan of the galaxy far, far away, Scott revealed that he once wrote a letter to Hamill in hopes that he’d attend his 2nd birthday party. Unfortunately, Hamill was a no show.
While Scott was recounting this sad, sad story to Bell, the “Star Wars” theme suddenly started playing as Luke freakin’ Skywalker appeared wielding a lightsaber.
“I’m sorry I missed your birthday,” Hamill said. “I checked my diary and that week I had two other birthdays, a bar mitzvah, and a supermarket opening.”
Hands trembling and expletives flowing, an overwhelmed Scott promptly freaked out, as Hamill gifted him the lightsaber.
“This is, this really is one of, one of the best moments of my life,” said Scott.
