CNN’s Jeff Zucker: Reporting on the fake ISIS flag was embarrassing, but doesn’t warrant an apology

In an employee forum yesterday, CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said CNN took the necessary steps following its false report that an Islamic State flag appeared at a London Pride celebration in June. Though CNN has not publicly addressed the mistake, Zucker said in the forum that the error was embarrassing, but there was nothing that warranted an apology. Employees were told CNN investigated the matter and took “necessary action” following the mistake.
