A 58-year-old Moss Bluff man facing 42 counts of possessing pornography involving juveniles was arraigned Monday in state district court.
Timothy R. Naquin pled not guilty before Judge Thomas Quirk to all counts.
According to Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Kim Myers, Naquin was stopped March 24 for a traffic violation and a search of his vehicle turned up a pornographic image of a child. She said that a subsequent search of Naquin’s home uncovered more printed images. He was then arrested and charged with 42 counts of possessing child pornography.
Myers said detectives also recovered computers and other electronic storage devices during that initial search of Naquin’s residence and an examination of those devices revealed 364 more pornographic images of children.
She said detectives obtained a warrant for Naquin on July 7 and that he was re-arrested the next day for possessing child pornography.
A case management conference for Naquin has been set for Feb. 16, 2017.
He remains in custody at the Calcasieu Correctional Center on a $1.5 million bond.
