The Longville and Ragley area will mark the National Day of Prayer with a rally at 11 a.m. today, May 4, at the South Beauregard Recreational Complex.
Pastor David Free said the event will feature prayers led by eight pastors from the Longville area. The South Beauregard ROTC will be on hand to present the colors before services begin.
“This rally is a coalition of all local pastors and churches, and the community, to rally together for the common cause of prayer,” Free said.
“There is not just one pastor or one church taking the lead on this. We are all doing our part to bring it together.”
Last year’s event brought in over 300 people, and Free said he hopes to see an even larger crowd at today’s rally.
The recreational complex is at 6719 La. 12, near the U.S. 171 overpass.
