Cameron voters overwhelmingly approved property tax renewals to support sewer, fire protection, drainage, recreation, waterworks and ambulance services.
The renewal of a 4.44-mill tax for the Lower Cameron Ambulance Service District passed by 95 percent, or 140 votes to eight, according to complete but unofficial results from the Secretary of State’s Office.
The renewal of a 3.97-mill tax for the Fire Protection District 7 received 96 percent approval, or 48 votes to two.
The renewal of a 2.52-mill tax for the Hackberry Recreation District received 89 percent approval, or 91 votes to 11.
The renewal of a 4.18-mill continuation for Waterworks District 10 was approved by 80 percent, or 28 votes to seven.
The renewal of a 4.3-mill tax for Recreation District 5 was approved by 80 percent, or 195 votes to 48.
